About the role
Interested in working on an innovative and high-impact business that is changing the way customers think about grocery? Amazon is looking for a talented Vendor Manager (VM) responsible for managing the P&L and setting the strategic direction for their business on Amazon Fresh.
The ideal candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and understanding of Excel will be essential to your success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.
Key job responsibilities
Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, partners, and management. On a day to day basis, you will:
Be the ‘business owner’ for your category/sub-category, responsible for delivering on revenue and profitability goals
Drive negotiations with large CPG vendors and represent Amazon when meeting with senior leaders
Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth
Collaborate with cross-functional partner teams, including marketing, in stock, biz tech, and Amazon Advertising
Bachelor's degree
A background (4+ years) in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and/or marketing
Proficiency in Excel
Proven analytical skills
Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Strong database and computer skills, SQL
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Experience in process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
