Project Management, Senior Associate
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the initiatives and solutions that drive the excellence of Amgen’s commercialization process.
The Project Management, Senior Associate works closely with all levels of Project and Program Managers to provide support that includes thought partnership on continuous improvement initiatives, project planning, data gathering, analysis development, communication, status tracking, implementation and follow up. Accountabilities include coordinating status/activity reports, presentation materials, spreadsheets, team tasks, sites and distribution lists. Support to product teams is also required as needed
The Project Management, Senior Associate is a member of the Program Management Office who provides project management support to optimize planning, teamwork and decision-making at Amgen. We are open to discussions about location flexibility or remote work arrangements; however, due to the nature of the work co-location with the headquarter in Thousand Oaks is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Thought partnership on initiatives to improve how Amgen advances programs through development to bring the best of Amgen to patients worldwide
- Coordinates with analysis, reporting and planning needs of the team
- Maintains ongoing communications and tracking (includes Agile methodology)
- Develops and manages of tools that enhance team management
- Supports of various platforms: SharePoint, MS Teams, Salesforce and Planisware
- Provides administrative tasks as vital to complete or support projects
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher in related field
- Successful track record of project management in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to work across teams, different levels of management, and partnerships, using effective communication techniques, to motivate diverse teams and enable cross-functional collaboration
- Demonstrated time management, decision making and organization skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient technical skills in PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and Microsoft Project or Planisware

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
