POSITION SUMMARY
An Electrical Qualifier will be required to hold the electrical license in the city, state and/or jurisdiction in which he or she is to represent the Company. The Electrical Qualifier shall always remain eligible to renew the license within the allotted time of the licensing cycle. This position is responsible for the correctness and quality of the company’s electrical installations provided by our employees to the customers of the represented utility. Also responsible for maintaining and raising customer approval of said utility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• Ability to provide direct oversight and conduct “in-person” audits of work performed, related to the license for those employees working under that license. Audit schedule to be determined by direct manager and program requirements/expectations.
• Provide evening and weekend support for troubleshooting smart home devices, thermostats, and/or EV charging issues.
• Act as a training liaison for field level staff on smart home devices and thermostats.
• Aid in the design and implementation of new programs, including cost estimates and trade ally management support.
• Assist with the strategy of acquiring unrestricted electrical licenses to support corporate licensing requirements.
• Provide comprehensive training in smart home technologies and smart device connections in single and multi-family installations.
• Provide guidance, instruction, and scope of work documentation for residential, commercial, and industrial smart device applications.
• Be knowledgeable of the theory of operation of customer equipment and installation methods of the demand response thermostats, EVSEs, and energy saving devices, in the project to which they are assigned.
• Perform all required duties as directed to inspect any company installed energy efficient equipment and products.
• Inspect company installed energy devices and other equipment, subject to availability, to ensure installations meet all required building codes, electrical codes, and safety protocols.
• Document equipment inspections, take necessary pictures, and accurately complete inspection forms. Assist other managers in day-to-day operations management of the assigned project.
• Assume responsibility of compliance of all electrical installations made by employees under your supervision.
• Provide comprehensive electrical safety training and installation protocol to supervised employees.
• To ensure essential employees meet OSHA safety standards by providing and documenting initial and periodic safety training as required.
• Provide a professional appearance appropriate for a representative of our organization and the client.
• Ensure company quality standards are met.
• Promote the energy efficiency program to the customer.
• Maintain and raise customer approval of said utility and its programs.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the program’s strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers.
• Understand, follow, and comply with all safety protocols, work rules, and regulations, including State, Federal, and OSHA requirements.
• Work in a team atmosphere to collaborate and continuously improve operations year after year.
• Occasional weekend travel to a job site to accommodate a customer’s need may be required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum experience to hold a license at the Master/Unlimited/Non-Restricted contractor level
• Electrical and technical aptitude required
• Experience in electrical installations, alterations & repairs, manual labor and using industry specific tools
