Digital Products and Applications at PepsiCoThe Digital Evolution is critical to driving PepsiCo’s ambitions around being FASTER, STRONGER, and BETTER. Application ArchitectThe Application Architect will play a pivotal role in software development activities and long-term initiative planning and collaboration across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software Engineering is the cornerstone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo’s value chain. This leader will establish an end-to-end vision of the overall application design and provide technology leadership to the application architecture in terms of focus, technical direction, and breadth of coverage of relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Architect.
• Architecture Design.
• Define and drive the end-to-end architecture for manufacturing solutions, integrating production planning and operations management.
• Ensure alignment with manufacturing objectives, industry best practices, and emerging trends in digital manufacturing transformation.
• Design scalable, modular, and API-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with ERP, Manufacturing controls systems MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and other supply chain systems
• Define and drive architecture for manufacturing solutions, incorporating Industry 5.0 principles and AI technologies.
• Ensure alignment with business objectives and emerging trends in Industry 5.0, focusing on human-machine collaboration and sustainable practices.
• Leadership & Collaboration.
• Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to engineering services and support.
• Passion for excellence in engineering services related to AI-enabled manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal skills to navigate and influence within a complex and matrixed manufacturing environment.

• Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and mentor a team of engineers across remote locations.

• Manage and escalate delivery impediments, risks, and issues tied to manufacturing engineering initiatives.
• Develop application architecture strategy in alignment with manufacturing business goals.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise-wide architecture processes, principles, policies, and standards.
• Understand business drivers and strategies to mitigate risks in manufacturing solutions.

• Analyze current IT architecture to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements.
