The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a Business Development Application Engineer  to join our Business Development team!
This is NOT a Software/IT position

Plant/Work Location: Any of the TGC’s Plants in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) 

                                         (within a reasonable driving distance)

Salary: $80-90,000

Market/Value Stream: Electrical Distribution/Switchgear Market

Work Schedule: Hybrid

Training: 3-6 months

Job Summary

The Business Development Application Engineer is responsible for developing the technical expertise within the Electrical Distribution / Switchgear Market and obtain an understanding of customer applications to assist customers with engineered solutions and to support the development of new products for the market.

This position reports to the Director of Market Development. 

Essential Job Duties 

• Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications with an ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements 
• Support new product development projects from research, through planning and implementation
• Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote our technical expertise

Requirements

•  Bachelors of Science in Engineering, required
• One to three years’ experience in a similar role, required
• Ability to understand customer’s application requirements and translate that into understanding internal capability development.

Travel: 25%
