Security Guard/Bouncer- Seasonal

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Check identification for age verification and ensure that only patrons of legal drinking age are allowed entry to the venue
• Greet Guests, control entry, assist at the host stand.
• Monitor patrons to ensure that they are not engaging in any suspicious or illegal activities
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints
• Remain alert and aware of any potential safety hazards
• Notify management of any unusual situations or disturbances
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Patrols the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel, parking garage, and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
• Response to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
• Checks alarm systems, security cameras, safety and fire equipment systems and closely monitor security of building doors, service areas and delivery areas
• Promote safe work practices and serve as key contributor to associate safety initiatives that could include Safety Committee meetings, training, etc.
• Initiates preliminary investigations into incidences as needed
• Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation as needed
• Responds to guest inquiries and requests and resolves guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Assists with running food/drink and bussing tables
• Assists with setting/relocating and turning on/off firepits and heaters
• Setups up stanchions and queues to assist with guest flow
• Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods
• Attends to guest's complaints, inquiries and requests
• Deliver DKN’s “Home Away From Home” experience

None

Independent Judgment Used:
Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within the Company policies and procedures

Working Conditions/Environment:
Entire interior and exterior of property; roadways. Must possess the physical dexterity to be in a standing position for long periods of time depending on traffic and business patterns. This is a seasonal position.

Knowledge/Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of (1) year experience in Security/Loss Prevention

• Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.

• Dependable. 
• Previous experience as a Bouncer or Security Guard
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations of the venue
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level
