WBeacon Mobility is seeking a Fleet Parts Manager to Join the Fleet Maintenance team at New York Region! The role of Parts Manager is critical to the day-to-day success of the maintenance team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in truck and automotive parts. You’re motivated, well organized, a self-starter and responsible for parts and inventory management of a busy maintenance operation. You will be responsible to ensure the team has the right parts at right time to keep the fleet in service. You will work hand in hand with the maintenance team, strong customer service and communication skills will be essential as you build a sustainable parts program and strong vendor & supply network.

This position supports the New York Region fleet maintenance group and reports to the Fleet Maintenance Director.

This position reports to work Mon-Fri, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. This position is not eligible for telework.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage ordering and inventory planning process to meet fill rate goals in conjunction with inventory turns targets
  • Develop and maintain parts vendor network
  • Managing the inventory and replenishment of shop related supplies and chemicals
  • Responsible for bin organization and parts stocking
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover
  • Monitor and adjust supply for critical and fast-moving parts’ categories and numbers
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
  • Conduct cycle counts for all bin locations on a monthly basis
  • Ensure 100% annual inventory of all stocked parts
  • Match purchase orders and invoices & monitor for aging
  • Manage and process parts cores
  • Process and adjudicate all parts warranties to ensure accountability on all transactions.
  • Initiates all paperwork relating to damages/shortages and vendor returns.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from an outside / alternative source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair order
  • Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts
  • Manage parts & supplies receiving efforts to ensure timely processing
  • Work with the maintenance supervisors and Director of Maintenance to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
  • Ensure parts department & rooms are clean and orderly

Qualifications

  • Minimum  5 years experience managing parts sales, inventory and staff within the automotive, truck or bus industry
  • Prior experience with Fleet Management Information systems (FMIS)
  • Inventory control experience
  • Advanced PC Skills - MS Office with an emphasis on Excel. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology (Comdata, NetSuite, etc).
  • Inventory management skills desired
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills obtaining buy-in and reaching consensus through collaborative efforts.
  • Respond to correspondence (phone, email, etc.) with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Customer oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Annual Starting Salary: $60,000.00
