In this role, you will take ownership of the machine and assembly shop, ensuring it is well-maintained, organized, and stocked. You will work collaboratively with the Mechanical team for the in house prototyping of parts, create fixtures for the Design team, and support the Manufacturing team with part reworks or assembly fixtures. On a daily basis you will primarily be interacting with the Mechanical engineering team, therefore strong communication skills and ability to communicate technical part machining information are necessary. <em>This is an hourly position for an individual contributor role reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager</em>.</p> <p><strong>Salary Range: $35/hr-$38/hr</strong></p> <p><strong>What You Need (Requirements)</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certificate in engineering technology, or a related field is preferred</li> <li>Machine shop skills : experience including but not limited to mills, lathes, laser cutter, drill press, bandsaw, dremel, jigsaw, sawsall</li> <li>2 - 5 years hands on experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred</li> <li>Strong work ethic and a go-getter attitude; able to work independently&nbsp;</li> <li>Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and new tools</li> <li>Ability to interpret 2D engineering drawings to ensure part compliance</li> <li>CAD experience is a plus</li> <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds as well as stand for long periods of time</li> </ul> <p><em>Applicants will be asked to provide a </em><strong><em>portfolio </em></strong><em>or </em><strong><em>examples of projects completed</em></strong><em>.</em></p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Daily work on the mill, lathe, met
