We are actively seeking a Global Project Management (PM) Director.  The role will report directly to the EVP, Global Operations of Rimini Street.  Preferred location is the U.S.; other locations may be considered. This role may require periodic travel as necessary across the world.
 

Position Summary

To help execute Rimini Street’s plan to scale to $1B+/year in revenue, the EVP, Global Operations is seeking a Project Management Director.  This hands-on role is an individual contributor who leads and manages very complex, typically cross-functional projects in Rimini Street. In this role you will work closely with the senior leadership team, stakeholders, and subject matter experts across groups, functions, and geographies to drive projects to completion, on-time, on-budget, and with quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ACTIVATE PROJECTS

  • Lead project sponsors and stakeholders to define initial project objectives, scope, outcomes, delivery dates, resource requirements, initial assumptions, and quality standards.

PLAN PROJECTS

  • Establish Agile Project Playbooks in collaboration with project sponsors, and project stakeholders, and SMEs. Project Playbook includes: 
    • Project objectives, scope, and outcomes
    • Project team members (executive sponsors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts) with RACI defined
    • Project approach / methodology
    • Detailed Agile project plan with schedule, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, critical path, and resource assignments/ownership
    • Budget
    • Change management / training
    • Issues/Risks
    • Assumptions
    • Governance (steering team meetings, status reporting, manage project changes (time, resources, scope)

KICK-OFF PROJECTS

  • Drive project kick-off meetings with executive sponsors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts

MANAGE PROJECTS

  • Drive / Manage execution of projects that includes:
    • Effective project governance (steering team meetings, status reporting, management of project changes to time, resources, scope)
    • Ensuring scope and objectives are achieved
    • Ensuring project tasks and milestones are delivered on time
    • Ensure deliverables meet/exceed the quality standard
    • Identification, tracking, and resolution of project issues / risks
    • Ensure project stays on budget
    • Ensure effective change management / training

PARTICIPATE AS AN ACTIVE TEAM MEMBER DOING REAL WORK

  • HANDS-ON
    • In addition to project management, act as a stakeholder or SME that owns or actively participates in specific project plan tasks and creation of project deliverables
    • In addition to identification and tracking of project issues/risks, act as a stakeholder or SME that owns or actively participates in the resolution of specific issues / risks

DRIVE PROJECT POST IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW

  • Drive post-project review to identify what went well and what needs to be improved in future projects

Professional Experience and Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in project management roles in enterprise technology companies, preferably in global companies with at least $500M/year in revenue.
  • 7+ years of experience on projects related to enterprise software and services, including product development, product introduction/launches, software implementation or upgrades, data center migration, and service offering definition and delivery.
  • Experience leading complex projects that span multiple fu
