Position Overview 

The Donor Experience Senior Associate will work closely with the marketing coordinator and support the SASS advancement team’s fundraising efforts. They will work regularly with alumni, donors, corporations, and friends of the university who support need-based and merit scholarships, military and veteran students, Honors & Scholars students, and academic support programs aimed at helping students persist through graduation. The Senior Associate is a vital link in demonstrating the impact of individual donations on the lives of students and the broader university community. 

 

Reporting to the Donor Relations and Fiscal Manager the Senior Associate’s primary responsibilities will revolve around our team's four main areas of focus: expressing appreciation, demonstrating impact, donor recognition and fiscal stewardship. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, gift acknowledgments, annual donor stewardship and continuing engagement (impact reporting, scholarship stewardship event, other special donor recognition opportunities), and assistance with funds management inquiries. The Senior Associate is expected to have excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, and experience building collaborative relationships.

Department Overview 

The office of Scholarship and Student Support (SaSS) provides advancement support for the university’s Office of Academic Affairs. SaSS is focused on scholarships and programs within Student Financial Aid, University Honors & Scholars, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Military & Veterans Services/ROTC and The Graduate School, among others. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, inclusive and affordable education that prepares the next generation of leaders and engaged citizens to serve Ohio, the country and the world.
