The Department of Safety Human Resources team is looking for a Senior Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition team. This individual will be a key part of the Talent Acquisition team by supporting the various Department of Safety agencies by executing both high volume recruitments and unique, hard to fill professional staff positions. The Talent Acquisition team believes that every interaction with a candidate is an opportunity to make a positive impact and we are dedicated to changing the candidate experience by ensuring that every individual who interacts with our team feels valued, respected, and supported. With that in mind, we are seeking someone who brings a passion for communication, process improvement and collaboration.

As a Senior Recruiter, you will immerse yourself in learning the nuances of our Safety agencies and their unique roles and recruitment needs. By doing so, you can expect to leverage the width and breadth of your recruiting experience and expertise to spear head both high volume recruitments and unique staffing roles. You'll have the ability to become a trusted advisor to your clients through relationship building and guidance throughout recruitments; and if process improvement and innovation pique your interest, you’ll also have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert and support innovation projects team wide. While this role does not directly manage others, you will be responsible for end-to-end support of agencies, think everything from consultative intake meetings through candidate onboarding and first day experience.

While no recruitment or hiring team is the same, the foundation of what we do doesn’t: communication. We are a team focused on delivering the best candidate experience possible and to support that vision and mission believe that can be achieved only through clear communication. As such you’ll be expected to demonstrate strong, clear communication on a consistent basis.

Additionally, as a Senior Recruiter you will:

  • Serve as a main point of contact for agencies for all recruitment and onboarding questions

  • Be a candidate liaison through proactive communication to support a positive candidate experience

  • Immerse yourself in understanding the complexities of the Department of Safety agencies to better support their abilities to serve our community

  • Work with agencies to provide consultation on position management, job requisition, recruiting strategies and the overall recruit to-hire process

  • Lead on-going meetings with agency partners reviewing current state recruitments and provide guidance as needed

  • Ensures accurate recordkeeping and compliance of candidates in the applicant tracking system

  • Identify gaps in recruitments processes and find solutions to solve

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated history of consistent, clear communication to both internal and external stakeholders and candidates

  • Previous experience working and communicating directly with Senior Leaders on a regular basis

  • Previous recruiting experience in both high-volume and niche, hard to fill positions

  • Strong communication both written and verbally 

  • Strong active listening skills

  • A keen eye for attention to detail

  • A collaborative and teamwork-oriented mindset and positive attitude

  • Previous experience working within Workday in the Recruiting and Onboarding functionalities

Below are the minimum requirements used to determine eligibility for this position:

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of experience in a recruiting environment.

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of pos thigh school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
