XTG is a global team that develops, designs, and supports enterprise broadcast, med-sim and experiential projects in partnership with AVI-SPL regional offices.
As part of XTG, the senior design role supports business development, leads pre-sales creative engineering and provides on-going post-sales project support.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide creative technology and design leadership for XTG and their partners
- Partner with XTG Business Development Team to build relationships within the enterprise broadcast design community internationally
- Work with the XTG Director of Strategic Partnerships to track new contacts and nurture existing partner relationships
- Translate customer requirements into creative scope of work and functional system designs
- Communicate design intent with electronic drawings, renderings and diagrams
- Develop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculations and facilitate coordination with disciplines and trades
- Review pre-construction design and documentation
- Assist with technical design pricing and identify any logistical challenges
- Generate functional system descriptions and block diagrams
- Provide engineering support to project installation team when needed
- Serve as Customer liaison for engineering inquires
- Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products and identify new creative technologies
- Post sales project consultation
- Review and validate the work of lower level Design Engineers
- Travel to various job sites is required
- Support of meetings outside of local time zones is required (up to 20 times per year)
- Other duties assigned as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer-facing and communications skills
- Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
- Track record of designing and implementing enterprise broadcast solutions
- Ability to work and think creatively as well as independently and ensuring to meet deadlines and solve problems with a 'how can it be done' attitude
- Ability to diagnose complex system problems
- Proficient with test and calibration equipment
- CAD, Bluebeam software experience
- Support user acceptance testing
- Advanced computer skills as required for the design configuration and operation of AV equipment
- Ability to travel internationally is required
- Support of meetings outside of local time zones is required (up to 20 times per year)
- Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 10 years of AV experience with AVIXA CTS-D preferred
- Previous work with broadcast integration, live production and television studio design
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- A four year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience
