Front End Web Developer Web and Digital Communications

On-site Durant, OK with travel required | Monday-Friday 8:00AM -4:30PM

Job Purpose or Objective: The Front-End Web Developer will combine design with programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the Web & Digital Director and bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and how it works.  You will report to the Web and Digital Director.

Primary Tasks

​You will work with clients and the creative team to develop the look and design of  new websites for all areas of the organization.

Develop reusable email templates for a variety of businesses and audiences.

Maintain and modify existing websites and user interfaces while building reusable code and libraries for future use.

You will manage members of the content team to keep existing website information updated and to deliver ongoing email communications for different audiences.

You will incorporate applications, graphics, audio and video clips into websites while ensuring technical feasibility within the website designs.

Improve application for maximum speed and scalability.

Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.

Work with our marketing department to update our website and mobile applications with current copy and graphics.

Write and update functional requirement documents and guides.

Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

​Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or four (4) years of relevant experience.

3 years experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Knowledge of frameworks such as Bootstrap

Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery

Proficiency with HTML5

Working knowledge of SEO principles

Basic proficiency with Photoshop and web design

Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing

2 years experience managing a team

WordPress experience
