EAH’s leading destination websites serve “enthusiast” owners of German, domestic, Japanese and Tesla vehicles, and related professional installers. Our banners include: ECS Tuning, Turner Motorsports, Pelican Parts, Rennline, Texas Speed & Performance, Z1 Motorsports, EVAnnex and RCI Off-Road. With more than 1 million SKUs, EAH sells a mix of performance and repair parts under its own and third-party brands. Our COO is recruiting to backfill our retiring Logistics leader for Enthusiast Auto Holdings. Our highly experienced incumbent is planning on staying through the end of July to ensure the right person can cross-train on both the direct management of the ECS Tuning logistics team, as well as the horizontal leadership scope across our other 7 banners and teams throughout the US.
The role owns both inbound and outbound logistics, including analysis, strategy and negotiations. High volume DTC parcel expertise is a must, with ~90% of our outbound shipments utilize FedEx, UPS and DHL. The role is a full time on site position based in our Wadsworth, OH corporate offices. Role requires direct leadership of the logistics team in our Wadsworth, OH. distribution center. Occasional travel may be required to affiliates or vendors as required. The role will help our ongoing implementation of NetSuite and RFSmart across all sites. Position requires strong analytic skills working across legacy ERP/WMS/TMS platforms during the transition to a common platform. The mission will be to build strong relationships with our internal team(s), carriers, and suppliers, with targeted focus to identify and implement logistics cost savings. The overall objective is to deliver outstanding products to a passionate customer base at the lowest cost, damage free, and with fastest solution possible.
Responsibilities:
- Outbound, with strong parcel expertise: Prior experience in developing and executing RFP’s, leading contract negotiations, and performing analysis on proposal responses to ensure optimal solutions are provided at best overall pricing possible. Manage relationships (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS) and lead analysis, recommendations and implementations of cost and performance improvements across all 8 banners. Lead strategy, support quick pilots on new approaches, and manage escalations with site teams and suppliers.
- In-bound, including consolidation: Identify, develop, and implement inbound cost improvement programs, including international freight consolidations (Asian / European markets), FTL/LTL Domestic, and the frequent use of RFP processes to secure the lowest shipping cost per unit.
- HTS management: Manage classification, compliance, training, and guidance across banners for HTS codes
- Customer experience: Partner on cross functional teams to lead analysis and improvements in customer experience, including programs on tracking / monitoring and shipping program pilots and implementations.
- ERP/WMS implementations: Support existing legacy systems and help design and implement NetSuite and RFSmart (1 of 8 banners complete) over the next few years across our company leveraging best in class TMS.
- Reporting: Provide weekly reporting on programs, performance to budget, and actions to Executive Leadership team.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management, inventory control with expertise in managing inbound and outbound shipments, with a heavy focus on parcel.
