YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The Executive Housekeeping Manager will play an important role for assisting the Director of Housekeeping and Executive Housekeeper with managing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring profitability, guest satisfaction, quality, and maintenance of hotel assets according to established objectives. The Executive Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping with the execution of the Housekeeping experience along with hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and leading the staff to ensure employees have adequate guidance and resources to achieve objectives.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

This role will work closely with Director of Housekeeping to:

• You must be a leader, not a manager; knowing the difference between a leader and a manager will lead to success in this position
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping with establishing, implementing, and maintaining department VIP program through direct leadership of VIP Team, personal inspection of all VIP arrivals, working closely with VIP Manager and standards, guidelines, budget, and other administrative processes to achieve efficient leadership of the department
• Work in conjunction with Director of Housekeeping and Executive Housekeeper to research, analyze, and make determinations regarding new equipment and amenities to ensure purchases are within budget, safety, and service objectives
• If you are looking for an office or administrative position, this is not the position for you. Be prepared to spend most of your day moving between rooms, completing inspections, interacting with Team Members, training, evaluating, and encouraging the team to provide a flawless VIP experience for our most important guests
• Take leadership of the department's Utility Houseperson Program, specifically the Perfect Room and Corridor Maintenance Programs
• Coordinate with swing Housekeeping Team on implementation and execution of the VIP Turndown Program
• Work directly with the Assistant Executive Housekeepers to develop leadership skills.
• Lead multiple levels of leadership within the department in implementation and adherence to policies, operating procedures, and directives. Assist team with understanding the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and ensure compliance with agreements
• At Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Housekeeping, we like to have fun! You will be assisting the Director of Housekeeping with development, planning, and executing of departmental events throughout the year to foster an environment where the hard work of the team is celebrated and recognized throughout the year
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping to establish and creation of new Standard Operating Procedures
• Regularly meet with Hotel Operations Leadership to provide updates on department initiatives and progress on deep cleaning and maintenance programs
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to established company guidelines
• Lead others in completion of a task or assignment
• Assist in assuming the duties of the Director of Housekeeping in their absence.
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping with overall departmental objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned
