Senior Software Engineer

<p><strong>What we are specifically looking for as a goal with this position:</strong></p> <p>To improve our development team capabilities working on a software product in area of Continuous Deployment (CD). The aim is to provide our customers a real automated continuous deployment solution.</p> <p>We create a product designed to support automated deployment and testing of software applications (Nokia network elements) to our customers premises. </p> <p>By joining us you will take part in the software development of this CD product designed by reusing the modern open-source components available on the market, integrating them and completing with our own code with the goal of productization.</p> <p><strong>As a Senior Software Engineer your job is to: </strong></p><ul><li>Design, implement &amp; maintain the software product by integrating already existing open-source or Nokia internal components plus developing new components to reach the aimed functionalities.</li><li>Be involved in all phases of a development lifecycle: understand and analyze product requirements; develop new software code; and finally take part in testing and verification.</li><li>Participate in the teamwork following Agile/Scrum practices: You will estimate work amounts in own area, participate in detail work planning’s and develop the tasks as a result of these. </li><li>Maintain CI/CD pipelines and environments</li><li>Daily cooperation with other Nokia teams worldwide</li></ul> <p><strong>The ideal candidate should be in possession of most of the following technical skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Education: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering or related fields.</li><li><strong>Linux </strong>configuration and scripting skills with the ability to run/configure applications on Linux</li><li>Experience in <strong>Python </strong>and/or <strong>Go </strong>languages</li><li>Understanding and some hands-on knowledge of container technologies (K8S, Docker, HELM)</li><li>Knowledge of Jenkins based CI/CD environment</li><li>At least 3 years of experience </li></ul><p><strong>Personal Attributes:</strong></p><p><strong>Furthermore, we are looking for persons who feel they have the following personal characteristics and skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Problem solving mindset</li><li>Proactive thinking</li><li>Team player</li><li>Passion to continuously learn new things</li><li>Quality mindset</li><li>Fluent written and spoken English </li></ul> <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> </span></b><span><br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
