Dover Precision Components, part of the $8.5 billion stable and growing Dover Corporation, is hiring a Program Manager for our Waukesha Bearings business. Waukesha Bearings is a market leader in custom- engineered fluid film bearings, magnetic bearing systems, and seals for high-performing turbomachinery. Because of US government requirements, US Citizenship is required for this role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Program Manager, you will oversee and manage multiple projects within multi-year engineering and manufacturing government programs. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain customer confidence through strategic planning, risk management, and performance tracking. You will work closely with cross-functional teams as well as customers and government stakeholders to safely deliver quality results on time and within budget. Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects that align with government programs, customer expectations, Waukesha Bearings, and key sub-supplier capabilities.
- Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, production, procurement, quality assurance, vendors, and stakeholders) to execute project requirements.
- Identify and mitigate program risks by implementing proactive solutions to address potential challenges.
- Monitor program performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency.
- Perform regular site visits (2-3 times per quarter) to our customer, our vendors, and our manufacturing facility (may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noises on shop floors).
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business-related discipline.
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to attain US Gov’t security clearance (SECRET).
- Minimum 3+ years of program or project management experience within engineering, manufacturing, and/or technical fields.
- Experience with contract oversight, including creating proposals, contract review, and managing deliverables.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience in providing accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Ability to communicate and influence cross-functionally and with different audiences, including internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to travel to customers (mostly local) and manufacturing sites, up to 10% of overnight travel.

- Demonstrated experience with MS Project and standard MS Office software.
- Military/defense background preferred. Direct Navy, or Navy programs experience would be considered advantageous.
