Simply put, we turn our words into action. Job DescriptionAmplify Consulting Partners is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Analytic and Visualization Engineer. The ideal candidate would be reliable, personable, and team-oriented. This position will work with stakeholders to develop and build reports/dashboards with supporting data models and measures leveraging a variety of tools to facilitate data insight conversations.Responsibilities

• Partner with business/domain experts to understand the questions they have on their data.
• Lead thorough requirements gathering for business/domain experts for a suite of PBI dashboards following similar methodology per dashboard
• Leverage modern BI tools (Microsoft Power BI) to extract and manipulate data from a variety of diverse source
• Develop, maintain and perform processes to monitor data quality and integrity in platform applications
• Conduct functional requirements sessions with end users
• Perform analysis on datasets to understand data structure and possible metrics/visuals to answer business questions
• Present alternative ways for clients to visualize and consume their data and speak to the cost/benefits of various approaches from integrating logic in the backend to how tables/views should be formatting to maximize both adaptability and performance
• Work as part of a larger visual analytics team partaking in collaboration and assisting other when needed
• Research advanced analytics/visualization capabilities to improve client understanding of data insights
• Genuine interest in visual analytics and openness to learn new tools in an ever changing space

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using BI tools (Power BI)
• Strong SQL Foundational knowledge
• Strong working experience with DAX, PBI, and data sources from Microsoft
• Aware and able to implement features in the most recent versions of Tableau
• Comfortable troubleshooting technical problems for a client in real-time
• Able to speak knowledgably to the capabilities/constrains of Power BI
• Can function independently, owning components of a larger project while also possessing strong cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
• Understanding of data governance principles
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to multi-task, deal effectively with ambiguity, change in business requirements, and self-prioritize under pressure
• The ability to understand business questions/pain points and alleviate with supporting data
• Strong understanding of visual communication best practices, and application to design choices
• Strong understanding of user experience design best practices with a human-centered approach

Nice to Have

• Good understanding of dimensional modeling and relational databases
• Working experience in gaming analytics
• Some creative/design skills are a plus
• Genuine interest in visual analytics and openness to learning new tools in an everchanging space

We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us.     The beginning salary range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000. As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $150,000
