With over 45 plants across North America, the Owatonna, MN, USA plant is a part of our Beverage division that mass blends savory food ingredients. What You'll Do:

 

The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician performs in-process repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance and repair of production equipment during machine service. Equipment includes machinery such as pumps, motors, filling, capping, labelers, packing, and sealing equipment, Roof top units and HVAC units. The primary function of this 4 Day per week, swing shift is to keep equipment running efficiently to meet production goals. On a daily basis, this may include:

 

  • Troubleshooting, repair and wiring of 3 phase, 480V motors, VFD's and PLC's.
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Boiler maintenance and repair (with License)
  • Equipment care of piping systems – sanitary for product flow, steam piping, pneumatics, RTU's or HVAC units.
  • Use of scissor lifts or ability to work on lift platforms.
  • Use of MS products and SAP software, documentation of work.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade school or continuing education in engineering or electro-mechanical repairs preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance related position, preferably chemical or food production.

 

Possess and demonstrate technical knowledge of the following:

 

  • Experience motor troubleshooting, repair & wiring.
  • Understanding of 3 phase wiring, high voltage, 120-480 VAC
  • Understanding of VFD and PLC, troubleshooting, repair and wiring.
  • Preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Boiler maintenance and repair (we offer licensing assistance)
  • Pump repair
  • Piping systems – sanitary for product flow, steam piping, and pneumatic.
  • Process equipment – pumps, motors, filling, capping, labelers, packing, and sealing equipment.
  • Use of MS products and SAP ideal.
  • Prior manufacturing safety training: Lift Trucks - scissor lifts, OSHA 10, ISO 14001, cGMP, Sanitary environments, HazMat.
