Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map aiming at achieving climate neutrality by 2050.</p><p>BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>The Vattenfall <strong>Business Area Wind</strong> runs all offshore wind, onshore wind and solar/battery projects (development, construction and execution) and manages as well as operates these assets in our core markets. In addition, the BA is responsible for identifying profitable growth options and new business models for other renewable energy sources and developing solutions for system integration. The combination of rapid growth and a highly competitive market environment requires best in class project management and a culture of continuous learning.</p><p>Within <strong>Project Governance and Portfolio Management</strong>, we’re enabling strategy execution. Our key responsibility is the project and portfolio decision making framework, project assurance and the build-up of Portfolio Management capabilities within the Business Area. We are looking for the right person to join the team as Senior Project Governance Advisor to support Business Unit Offshore. You will be at the centre<strong> </strong>of the decisions that will<strong> </strong>help us accelerate fossil free living with the power of renewables.</p><p><strong>Main tasks &amp; responsibilities</strong><br/> Portfolio and Project Governance</p><ul><li>Provide insight and independent advice to senior management on project maturity status, risks and issues to drive Portfolio and Project decisions and strategic alignment with goals.</li><li>Provide oversight and challenge of project value performance (deliverables, risk, cost, schedule).</li><li>Establish and improve processes and guidelines to provide robust and fit for purpose portfolio and project governance.</li><li>Manage the Toll Gate Planning process for Business Unit Offshore projects and liaise with relevant stakeholders.</li><li>Participate in Project Steering Groups to provide governance expertise</li><li>Manage and prepare “Project Review Board“ meetings.</li><li>Contribute to the development of requirements and standards for new governance areas e.g. transactions, partnering, O&amp;M.</li></ul><p>You will report to the Manager Project Governance and Portfolio Management within Business Control.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>About You</strong><br/> Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:</p><ul><li>Masters level degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or similar</li><li>3 or more years of project management experience, ideally in an offshore asset project setting, preferably in the renewable energy sector.</li><li>Certification in Project Management (e.g. PMI or IPMA) is a plus</li><li>At least 3 years of experience in a similar project governance, project assurance or risk management type role.</li><li>Strong business acumen.</li><li>Successful track record in developing, implementing, and improving processes to support project steering and governance.</li><li>Can demonstrate ability to perform in a large and complex international organization with many interfaces.</li><li>Visible and self-managing and able to work effectively as part of a virtual team.</li><li>A team player able to focus on both people and business in a challenging environment.</li><li>A strong communicator with excellent command of English both verbally and written.</li></ul><p>As a person you are an open-minded professional with the ability to collaborate and inspire people at different levels of the organisation.
