Lead Acid Batteries Senior Buyer

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a world-leading technology company and provider of innovative energy storage solutions, <br/><br/>Is seeking a Lead Acid Batteries Senior Buyer to join the Lead Acid Batteries Components Team that is based in Athens<br/><br/><p></p>Responsibilities:<br/><br/><ul> <li>Assists senior management in the organization and implementation of ongoing projects.</li> <li>Develops and monitors the strategic sourcing, runs RFQ and purchases materials for company’s plants according to specifications</li> <li>Conducts market research and identifies opportunities, maintains, and expands relationships in order to develop existing supplier base</li> <li>Evaluates, reviews, and compares responses to RFQs/RFPs from various vendors/suppliers, provides insights to the Supervisor and the involved internal stakeholders regarding the price/ availability of requested sources, and if agreed recommends the awarding of contracts according to procurement procedures</li> <li>Analyzes suppliers’ proposals, negotiates contracts to achieve the best deals with the suppliers, based on a set of criteria such as technical specifications, price, quality, service, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities</li> <li>Liaises with internal teams e.g. R&amp;D, Product for exploring potential suppliers and / or for certain projects based on customers’ requests</li> <li>Collaborates with MRP to carry out all necessary arrangements for the proper delivery of goods and follows up accordingly</li> <li>Negotiates about contracts, including prices, payment terms, terms of delivery, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with vendors/ suppliers to achieve terms that are in the company’s best interest</li> <li>Monitors inventory requests and production schedule to coordinate purchasing activities with company’s current and anticipated demand of resources/services</li> <li>Monitors and ensures the efficient resolution of issues related to delayed supply and/or improper quality of the incoming materials</li> <li>Suppliers’ evaluation on a regularly basis, according to company’s required standards and contract terms</li> <li>Creates reports for the management team according to procurement’s procedures</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Business Administration or Economics</li></ul><ul><li>Min 2 years of experience in a relevant role (preferably in industry sector)</li></ul><ul><li>Fluency in Greek &amp; English (both verbal &amp; written) is a must</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in Microsoft office applications with an emphasis on Excel, BW tools and working knowledge of ERP/SAP</li></ul><ul><li>Attention to detail, highly organized and problem resolving mentality</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trustworthy relationships with various stakeholders</li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset</li></ul><ul><li>Multi- tasking, willing to take initiatives and take quick decisions</li></ul><ul><li>Team spirit work and adaptable</li></ul><ul><li>Embracing ownership and agility</li></ul><ul><li>Impact-focused, proactive and open to change</li></ul><li> <br/><br/>#Empoweringtalent #WebelieveinTalent #ManpowerGroupGreeceManpowerGroup Greece was founded in 1998.
