We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager for Distribution and Warehousing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our distribution and warehouse functions, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and accurate delivery of products. The Operations Manager will lead a team of warehouse staff, emphasize customer service, manage inventory control, optimize logistics, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards ​

Key Responsibilities:

· Warehouse Operations Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including inventory control, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
• Ensure optimal space utilization, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Implement and maintain best practices for warehouse efficiency, ensuring the smooth operation of daily processes.

Distribution and Logistics Management:

• Manage the distribution process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, including managing shipping schedules, routes, and carrier partnerships.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation and logistics, reducing costs while maintaining service levels.
• Monitor and analyze distribution performance to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

· Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Implement inventory tracking systems and ensure proper documentation for all inbound and outbound goods.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels and reorder processes effectively.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and supervise warehouse and distribution staff, providing coaching, training, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, updates, and key performance metrics.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure that all warehouse and distribution operations comply with safety regulations, health standards, and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training and certifications for warehouse staff.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate operational processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
• Leverage technology and automation solutions to streamline warehouse and distribution operations.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse and distribution operations, including order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, highlighting areas for improvement and success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse and distribution operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and logistics operations.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve operational performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Experience with automation technologies and robotics in warehouse and distribution operations.
• Lean or continuous improvement methodology experience.
