PURPOSE
Salem-Keizer Public Schools' approach to Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) centers on early intervention, multidisciplinary collaboration, and equity-focused support. Salem-Keizer is a pioneer in this field. The district developed the Salem-Keizer Cascade Model, a nationally recognized student threat assessment system. This framework focuses on identifying students on a pathway to extreme aggression towards others and providing wraparound services to mitigate risk.
At Salem Keizer we value those who desire to be a part of a highly focused and productive team that prioritizes relationships and helping at risk students succeed. Experience is not a requirement for this position as we will train the individual selected in becoming an expert in our systems and school culture. This position will lead the Fire Misuse Assessment process while supporting the Student Threat Assessment Team and the Sexual Incident Response Team.
