<p><u>Responsibilities</u><br/>
Playing a major role in the Legal IP Department, you will be part of a team that is legally supporting the organisation and management of all activities around the Alstom development of software, the use of third-party and Open-Source Software, and the provision of software as a service (SaaS) solutions by Alstom to its Customers. You will report to the VP Legal Procurement and Legal IP and your role will include, but is not limited to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Legal support to operational teams in charge of the development of Alstom software solutions (such as support on selection of best licensing model, license contract drafting, IP protection of software and data and consulting on and approval of the use of Open-Source Software in Alstom software and products);</li>
<li>Legal support, guidance and organisation of offensive and defensive IP infringement claims related to software including Open-Source Software IP infringement claims; </li>
<li>Legal support of the tender and projects teams for the provision of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and for software on premise projects and tenders; </li>
<li>Legal Support on the management of the cybersecurity aspects (In close collaboration with the VP Group Product & Solutions cybersecurity teams.);</li>
<li>Legal support on (internal) audit activities related to software, SaaS and Open-Source Software;</li>
<li>Enforcement of Alstom’s compliance with legal instruction given in relation to the provision of SaaS and the use of Open-Source Software;</li>
<li>Organisation and conduction of trainings for Alstom employees involved in the provision and development of software, SAAS and involved in cybersecurity and Open-Source Software activities; and</li>
<li>Consolidation of the existing Alstom software, organisation of their copyright protection and evaluation of used Open-Source Software as part of Alstom software.</li>
</ul>

<p><u>Technical Knowledge / Experience</u><br/>
As Senior Legal Counsel IP with strong knowledge on software and Software as a Service:</p>
<ul>
<li>You are a French and/or European qualified lawyer (Master degree) with at least 7 years of relevant working experience gained as in-house legal counsel and/or in private practice in an international setting;</li>
<li>You have detailed legal knowledge and experiences on Open-Source Software, their use and their complexity and risks;</li>
<li>You have detailed legal knowledge and experiences in organizing and managing defensive and offensive software and Open-Source Software IP infringement claims;</li>
<li>You have proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating (international) software commercial contracts (including software licensing and maintenance contracts) for on premises and SaaS solutions;</li>
<li>Specific knowledge in cybersecurity issues and regulation.</li>
<li>You have a robust yet flexible personality, good communication skills (oral and written) and are able to operate in a multi-cultural and multi-jurisdictional environment.</li>
<li>You have experience in directly advising non-legal people on complex legal issues, in terms they can understand; </li>
<li>You are proficient in English (working language). Knowledge of one or more other languages is considered a plus.</li>
</ul>

<u>Business Understanding</u></p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of IT systems and more particularly on the software management in IT solutions; </li>
<li>Experience and comfort working in a worldwide matrix-based organization; and</li>
<li>Having knowledge of railway industry would be a plus.</li>
</ul>

As Senior Legal Counsel, you are:</p>
<ul>
