Description of the assignment
 

Vanderlande is a market-leading provider of logistic process automation. To be able to deliver these multimillion euro projects in a profitable way, the Strategic Costing & Verification (SC&V) department develops and maintains pricing and costing tools. These tools are used globally to calculate and price our projects and solutions. The world in which Vanderlande operates is changing rapidly. Which demands for new flexible business models, adopting these new business models will have impact on organization and financials. Assignment is to analyze and quantify the impact to enable business decisions. 
 

Department description

The Strategic Costing & Verification (SC&V) team manages cost calculation methodologies for customer bids, maintaining accurate tools and data for global Sales teams via the CAP system. Adopting new business models impacts cost and pricing methods, requiring SC&V to collaborate with Business Units to analyze cost structures, drive innovations, and enhance cost models. As a strategic department with direct ties to top management, SC&V offers high visibility. The student will work independently on the assignment in Veghel, with guidance from a team member.

Tasks/responsibilities

• Investigate the new business models
• Analyze impact on the organization – Business units, Supply chain, Service, Operations etc
• Analyze the impact on Financials – cost models, pricing methodology
• Interview with stakeholder groups
• Strong analytical mindset and the ability to support strategic decisions with data
