Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

Assist psychology students with concepts and questions about course material and/or course projects, hold regular office hours or review sessions for exams. 

May also assist professor with course preparation and/or light grading.

Transferable Skills: 

  1. Ability to engage students in discussion of course concepts
  2. Ability to anticipate and positively react to the needs of the professor

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Meet with professor for orientation to class activities
  2. Assist students with concepts and questions during office hours or review sessions
  3. Assist professor with trouble shooting classroom technology and other equipment
  4. Depending on the professor, may also assist with light grading or course preparation

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

  1. Strong proficiency in the psychology course work for which the student employee is hired (e.g., Principles in Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Biopsychology)
