Lead Spa Receptionist

Starting Pay Rate:  $19/hr

As the Lead Spa Receptionist, you will oversee front desk and phone operations at Ahsi and Skana Spas. Your responsibilities include answering calls promptly and politely, accurately making reservations, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of spa products, services, and events. You'll handle guest interactions, manage complaints, perform administrative tasks, encourage retail sales, greet guests, handle transactions, enforce policies, ensure neat and organized front desks,

What you will do as a Lead Spa Receptionist:               

• Ensures phone calls are answered in a timely manner.                             
• Is always polite when speaking to guests on the telephone.
• Accurately makes reservations for spa using the appropriate tracking system. Inputs all guest information efficiently and with minimal errors.
• Maintains a full knowledge of all spa products, services and appointment availability for Ahsi and Skana Spas.
• Attends vendor training to stay current on new products, services, and salon techniques.
• Effectively interacts with guests to handle complaints and solve any issues.
• Provides appointment information to guests in a polite and courteous manner.
• Consistently encourages retail product sales and up-selling of spa/salon services. Assists in the development of incentives for staff.
• Promptly greets guests entering reception area. Strictly monitors access to restricted areas.
• Ensures confirmation calls and daily/monthly reports are completed.
• Ensures both front desks are neat and organized. Coordinates with Procurement Supervisor to ensure area is always stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assists in the training of all front desk staff.
• Assists Spa Supervisors with daily duties or tasks and ensures all areas are working properly in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Ensures that phones and front desks are being maintained according to Forbes 5 STAR standards by training, coaching, and leading the related staff.

 

To be successful as a Lead Spa Receptionist, you'll need:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required. 
• One year previous receptionist experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to withstand heat up to 80 degrees for an 8 hour shift; fireplace utilized (Skana).
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to speak and understand the English language; must continuously communicate with a degree of professionalism and accuracy.
• Written communication skills essential; ability to read and understand information and records and complete standard forms.
• Previous computer experience needed; computer system is utilized to sell spa packages and appointments; Micros and Spa Concepts. 
• Mathematical ability essential; must be able to accurately account for cash drawer.
• Ability to multi task essential; multi-phone line, guest interaction.
