Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Transportation Project Director with TxDOT design experience, in PS&E or Schematics, for immediate employment in the San Antonio office.

Job Description

• As Project Director, manage all aspects of Schematic or PS&E plan preparation for roadway projects in accordance with TxDOT procedures.
• Manage a support Team of project managers, engineers and technicians, some located remotely.
• Determine work priorities based on general direction from supervisor.
• Provide leadership for Team through knowledge in areas of specialization, coordinating work of others.
• May lead on one or more Teams in the delivery of work efforts that are often complex.
• Be involved in all project aspects from client meetings, design/study development.
• Serve as Capture or Project Director for key pursuits
• Obtain AECOM Project Manager Certification

Other responsibilities are: 

• Responsible for the overall administration of the project and assist with establishing project objectives and policies.
• Provides management and guidance to subordinate staff, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
• Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 year of leadership experience
• TXDOT experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of previous design experience on transportation projects, including Schematic Development and PS&E
• Professional Engineer (PE) in TX or Other states
• Experience designing highway/roadway systems
• Experience with any of the following software: MicroStation, GEOPAK, or OpenRoads
• Familiar with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, Project)
• Must be a team player
• TxDOT Pre-certifications
• Good communication skills

Additional Information

Offered rate of compensation in Texas will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $160,000. - $250,000.
