The Denver International Airport (DEN) Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA) is actively seeking a Project Management intern (nicknamed “DENtern”) to contribute to their division. As part of DEN's Strategic Plan, Vision 100, which envisions reaching 100 million annual passengers, CEEA plays a pivotal role in transforming the aviation industry.

What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education. The salary range for this position is $19.75 - $22.32, based on education. Denver International Airport emerging talent positions are required to attend all sessions of professional development within the cohort model. You will be onboarded with a cohort of peers to begin to help you develop your network across the aviation industry.
As an intern you will get to experience working alongside both the Career Pathways Teams (Youth and Employees) and Research and Innovation Team including projects such as, but not limited to:
Careers Pathways Youth Team
- Project #1: Taking a lead role in DEN’s internship program
- Helping organize DENterns tours, professional development, presentations, events, communications, and DENtern recruitment.
- Assisting with DENtern cohort camaraderie (social interactions)
- Maintaining the DENtern alumni network
- Project #2: Support the planning and execution of engaging summer youth programs.
- You'll play a key role in organizing impactful initiatives like DENtern events, DEN Academy, Tours, and Project Takeoff. This includes co-creating dynamic, interactive activities for workshops and meetings, ensuring participants have meaningful and memorable experiences.
Careers Pathways Employees Team
- Project #3: Support and contribute to various hands-on professional development programs, working closely with employees to enhance their skills, foster growth, and facilitate learning opportunities across the organization.
- Project #4: Support program logistics including event planning, coordinating schedules, and preparing participants materials such as:
- Assist with gathering and organizing program data, including participant feedback and expense documentation
- Creating a variety of internal communications highlighting our employee programming.
Research and Innovation Team
- Project #5: Conducting progressive research and innovation that will be showcased at the end of the summer

Minimum Qualifications
- Education Requirement: Current enrollment in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelor’s, or higher degree in, or a recent graduate (completed specified program within 1 year of completion).
