Job Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for planning activities associated with Chromalloy materials inventory and acts as a liaison between the Shop Employees, Inventory Management and Procurement Department. The Inventory Clerk reports to the Senior Inventory Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Works directly with Chromalloy Connecticut Departments to forecast and plan inventory requirements to determine material requirements to be procured each month and quarter.
- Sources inventory on a JIT basis to ensure daily requirements are maintained to ensure production flow without material(s) shortage disruptions
- Works with Shop Employees and Production Managers buyers to distribute materials
- Works with aftermarket suppliers to establish consignments in support of Chromalloy repair divisions.
- Works closely with quality and sales personnel to ensure industry requirements are being met
- Provides input to Production Managers regarding problems such as shortages.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Coordinates with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
Qualifications
- One to three years experience planning or scheduling inventory and materials necessary to support operations.
- One to three years experience in inventory management
- Able to use and understand existing tools and contacts to forecast material(s) inventory requirements
- Aerospace experience preferred
