Position Overview:
The primary duties of the Senior Microsoft Cloud Solutions Administrator include the design, implementation, and upkeep of cloud solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies. This role encompasses the management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, adherence to security and data protection policies, and the administration of user identities and access. The individual in this position should be well-versed in Entra ID, Azure AD, InTune, Purview, Compliance, IaaM, Conditional access, RBAC, among other related technologies. A solid understanding of cloud technology is essential for this role, along with a dedication to keeping up-to-date with the ever-changing cloud environment.
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities and skills, the Senior Microsoft Cloud Solutions Administrator is also expected to have experience in system and process automation. This includes the ability to automate routine tasks, streamline processes, and implement automation tools and frameworks. This skill is crucial in improving efficiency, reducing errors, and optimizing workflows in the cloud environment. Therefore, candidates with a proven track record in automation and a deep understanding of automation technologies are highly desirable.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure
- Migrate, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructures
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies
- Manage user identities and access using Azure Active Directory
- Implement and manage device management policies using InTune
- Implement and manage data governance policies using Microsoft Purview
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based solutions with existing systems
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technology and make recommendations for improvements
- Support and test production devices, including after-hours support and monitoring server usage and security status
- Help implement hardware upgrades, patches, server upgrades, and new secure configurations
Experience Required:
- Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft technologies
- Managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure
- Ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies
- Managing identity and access management using Azure Active Directory
- Implementing and managing device compliance and management policies using InTune
- Implementing and managing data governance policies using Microsoft Purview
- Collaborating across boundaries to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based solutions with existing systems
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure Cloud and M365
- Strong foundation in automation, service delivery, and cloud technology
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with a focus on automation for repeated tasks
- Attention to detail and understanding of best practices related to customer service
- Background in technical consulting or system architecture is preferred
- Experience with keeping up to date with the latest developments in cloud technology and making recommendations for improvements
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure and M365 are a plus

Additional Abilities Required:
- This job operates in both an office and field setting, requiring mobility between locations and the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to lift or move up to 5 pounds, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks may also be required.
