The Sr. Deployment Services Program Manager oversees the successful planning and execution of our wholesale and enterprise deliveries. This position leads large complex new construction and retrofits for data center projects and is responsible for identifying the program requirements and operational integrity. The Sr. Deployment Services Program Manager engages with internal customers and supports the program through the entire project life cycle. These large-scale projects will require strong project management, communications, customer relationship, analytical skills, and data center construction and operations knowledge. The Sr. Deployment Services Program Manager will develop and capture initial design build requirements, while closely collaborating with our internal teams to successfully deliver on time and against our contractual agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all aspects of project implementation and execution for our wholesale and enterprise customer installations and related projects. Summarizes project schedules, evaluates, and analyzes project risks.

  • Works directly with other NTT cross-functional teams to develop efficient workflow to provide rapid and accurate RFP response and project development.

  • Oversight of various contractors and responsibility for tracking project timelines to ensure milestones are met.

  • Ensures that all service contract performance terms and conditions are met to client specifications.

  • Demonstrates expert understanding of data center design concepts and differentiators (high dense cooling, maintainable fault tolerant power, security redundancy, etc.)

  • Manages the streamlining of information flow between multiple internal & external teams, escalating discussions, as appropriate, to promote the business needs of the customer.

  • Periodically participates in all aspects of client facing interactions including but not limited to pre-sales tours, infrastructure deployment consultation, design, documentation, and post-deployment operation.

  • Reviews and incorporates client provided RFP documents.

  • Develops and documents comprehensive scope of work (SOW) documents, bill of material (BOM), milestones, tasks, risks, assumptions, objectives, and dependencies relating to projects.

  • Report on all relevant program management deliverables such as objectives and requirements, risk assessments, project plans, budgets, status reports, open issues logs, action items list, etc.

  • Preferred use of CAD or equivalent tool and Visio to produce customer facing and internal drawings and/or markups.

  • Recommends appropriate process and procedure revisions as needed to focus on continuous improvement.

  • Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.

  • Implements >= 99% clients on time, on budget and within contract scope.

  • Works with the Client Success team to serve as the onsite point of contact for client concerns and any client related service issues, within the Deployment Services scope of work and departmental responsibilities.

  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, purpose, and determination to meet company objectives.

  • Defines, builds, implements, and continuously improves deployment service processes, protocol, and practices.

  • Presents to senior leadership for status updates.

  • Responsible for the safety adherence and culture within the team and contractors.

  • Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong experience working with large, global, and wholesale customer base.

  • Working knowledge of Windows and SharePoint

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams)

  • General understanding of drawing packages such as Visio and/or AutoCAD.

  • Deep knowledge of IT and data center infrastructure

  • Knowledge of Data center infrastructure design standards

  • Experience in writing and reviewing MOP (Method of Procedure) documents.

  • Knowledge of SSAE 16 and other industry certifications a plus

  • Possess excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
