Duties: Responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying easily scalable software based solutions on external specifications to remove the limitations of traditional solutions and support deployment in highly available environments; study and analyze system and application requirements; coordinate and document software system and application requirements to ensure functional and technical specifications are met using Rational products, Microsoft Office and UML among other tools and technologies; translate business/functional specifications into high level and detailed technical design specifications using Service Oriented Architecture, and frameworks including Hibernate, Struts 1, Struts 2, Putty and Spring; develop, compile, configure, test, deploy, troubleshoot and administer programs developed using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, JMS, JBPM, JSF, JIRA, JSON, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, XPath, SVN, Maven, Web Services, SOA Services, Spring MVC, Hibernate, SOAP, WSDLs, Web Services SOAP/REST, WebSphere Application Server, Linux, and Unix scripting; develop code on Eclipse based platforms including Rational Application Developer; develop relational database solutions using T SQL and Oracle PL/SQL on relational database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, among others; automate the deployment process using Linux and AIX platforms and ANT / JACL build scripts; and apply a working knowledge of quality control and quality management solutions from IBM Rational testing tools to complete assigned tasks.
Location: Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and various other undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.
Salary: $117,200 per year.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors – Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training: None
Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Senior Technical Lead, as a Lead Consultant, as a Senior Software Engineer, as a Project Leader, as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years use of all the following: Web Services SOAP/REST, Oracle PL/SQL, Spring, Java, XML, Linux, JMS, JIRA, JSON, Hibernate and Putty.
