The Team

You’ll be part of a high-impact, highly collaborative Global Product Marketing organization at Hitachi Vantara shaping how we position our portfolio, tell our story, and engage the market at a pivotal moment in the evolution of AI and data infrastructure.

Our team operates at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution, partnering closely with product, sales, marketing, analyst relations, and executive leadership to drive clarity, consistency, and differentiation in everything we do. We are building a modern, AI-enabled PMM function that combines strategic rigor with a bias for action, elevates the conversation from features to outcomes, and brings clarity to complexity.

What You'll be Doing

We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Senior Portfolio Product Marketing Manager to strengthen portfolio-level messaging, AI-enabled content quality, team productivity, and operational discipline across Product Marketing.

You will serve as a force multiplier for the VP, Product Marketing and the broader PMM organization by raising the quality bar on our most visible outputs, accelerating AI adoption, strengthening messaging consistency and portfolio discipline, and creating repeatable ways of working that help the team scale.

This position is part of the Global Product Marketing team and reports to the VP, Product Marketing, within the company’s Product organization.

Responsibilities

Drive Portfolio Strategy & Messaging Consistency

  • Create and operationalize an AI-enabled content and portfolio strategy that improves messaging consistency across products, solutions, corporate narrative, and priority sales plays.
  • Develop repeatable workflows, prompts, templates, playbooks, and governance practices that improve content quality, reuse, and speed across the PMM team.
  • Partner with PMMs and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen impact of enablement, customer facing content, and launches.

Reimagine PMM Workflows & Accelerate AI Enablement

  • Develop AI training, knowledge-sharing, and adoption plans that help Product Marketing work more efficiently and consistently.
  • Build team-wide AI capability for key content development workflows, including prompt libraries, reusable templates, review standards, and practical guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline collaboration, communication, tracking, dashboards, and recurring workflows through AI-enabled approaches.

Create High-Visibility Portfolio Deliverables

  • Develop and drive the team’s highest-visibility portfolio deliverables, including executive presentations, keynotes, leadership communications, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex portfolio, product, and market topics into clear, compelling, executive-level narratives.
  • Support content development for priority initiatives that require strong storytelling, message discipline, and cross-functional alignment.

Build Practical Operating Discipline

  • Create practical governance and operating cadences that improve visibility, accountability, and execution without adding unnecessary process burden.
  • Support planning, prioritization, and reporting for key PMM initiatives, helping the team operate as a more data-driven and high-performing function.
  • Provide operational support for areas where the team needs structure but does not have dedicated resources, including budget tracking, SOW and PO management, vendor coordination, and initiative tracking.

Collaborate Across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership Teams
