The Diabetes Operating Unit is undergoing a strategic IPO split, positioning itself as a high-growth, standalone company at the intersection of MedTech innovation and advanced manufacturing. With operations across the globe, the team is focused on delivering cutting-edge healthcare solutions with operational excellence. This transition offers a bold opportunity for the Diabetes team to operate with greater speed and agility while fostering future growth and innovation.We are looking for a dynamic and driven Finance Director to join our FP&A team and report directly to the Head of Global FP&A. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the group FP&A and Strategic Finance function from the ground up for a public company with approximately $3 billion in annual revenue.
The Finance Director will lead the Diabetes business unit’s Long-range Financial model, a core component of our IPO preparation. This role will partner cross-functionally to develop key assumptions, synthesize market data and internal forecasts in order to deliver a robust model that supports strategic planning and investor expectations.
As a people manager, this position requires strong leadership and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset and a passion for driving high-impact analytics in a fast-evolving environment.
This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
This role is based at our Northridge, CA or Twin Cities, Minnesota office.

As Finance Director, Global FP&A, you will be responsible for:
Long-range Modelling and Financial Planning
Own the long-range models for P&L and FCF forecasts and scenario planning. This position will collaborate with Business Development & Strategy, regional commercial and functional teams to validate assumptions, gather business intelligence and internal forecasts, and produce an insightful long-term outlook.
Perform in-depth Revenue and Gross Margin analysis as part of AOP and rolling forecast processes to identify risks & opportunities and guide resource allocation to support business strategy.
Investor Relations support and Market / Competitor insights
Incorporate meaningful KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and market growth / share in a driver-based model that explains the key factors that impact Pump, CGM and Consumables revenue performance and future growth.
Support CFO and Head of IR in quarterly Investor Relations process by providing press release materials, performance drivers and competitor & market analysis.
Strategic Projects and Business Transformation
Play a key role in preparing for the Finance functional readiness related to the announced plan to IPO the Diabetes business.
Support Finance Transformation projects that optimize operating model and the way Finance team works
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Collaborate across functions to gather insights, validate forecasts and get buy-in from regional & functional teams.
Optimize team performance, provide training/mentorship to elevate financial acumen and empower team members to pursue meaningful ownership.

Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience with 7+ years managerial experience
