Project Manager

Responsible for overseeing one or more small or intermediate sized projects. Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and be responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed. Escalate when necessary. Help build out PMO process components over time.

The Project Manager will need to follow project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets IT and business expectations. Monitor project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis. Ensure resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues. Track key project milestones and adjust project plans to meet the needs of work effort. Provide weekly project status and PM-related reporting. Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Works with CIO to develop a streamlined IT Portfolio Management process and then manages this process.
• Reviews project business case to ensure accurate costs and internal labor are identified. Ensures approval of business case and presents to governing body.
• Works with executive team to prioritize initiatives and manage backlog.
• Defines integration needs with other projects, systems and business processes.
• Provides regular status information to all project stakeholders. Interfaces with upper management on project status and related issues.
• Reviews plans and schedules of other participating functions for compliance with the master schedule; resolves scheduling and inter-functional conflicts.
• Participates in or leads daily, weekly or monthly meetings. Reviews to track and report project status, identifying deviations or adverse trends.
• Coordinates project team from inception through completion.
• May provide oversight and train junior project managers over time, not initially.

• Eastern Standard or Mountain Time Zone preferred.
• Requires BS/BA in related discipline. PMP certification is desired but not required. Three to five years of project management experience is required.
• Demonstrated skill in project schedule development and execution.
• Highly collaborate with teams to deliver quality and on-time projects.
• Self-starting individual is required.
• Working within a PMO is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is required.
• Knowledge of accounting systems, CRM applications is preferred.
• Experience working in services businesses that generate services-based revenue is preferred.
• Familiarity with waterfall and Agile project methodologies is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft AX 2012 or Finance & Operations accounting systems or other accounting software is preferred.
