Position Summary:

 

The Manager or Senior Manager of Environmental Engineering – Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Wastewater will oversee BNSF's Environmental Engineering infrastructure related to industrial control systems, industrial wastewater and stormwater treatment systems.

 

In partnership with, and reporting to BNSF’s Director of Environmental Engineering, the Manager/Sr. Manager serves as:

 

• Collaborator, with BNSF operations and our many internal and external stakeholders, leading/managing industrial wastewater and stormwater treatment operations across BNSF’s 32,500-mile network.
• Subject Matter Expert, for BNSF’s Industrial Control System Program, providing guidance to our various departments as well as consultants, integrator(s), contractors and subcontractors.
• Champion, to continuously improve and incorporate sustainable solutions and practices into BNSF’s Environmental Engineering and Wastewater Operations program.
• Creator, of Industrial Control System principes and best practices for continuous improvement to reduce costs and increase resiliency.

 

The position will lead/manage ICS/wastewater/stormwater systems that include 17 wastewater plants, 120+ oil water separator systems, 185+ lift stations, 40+ lagoons, stormwater treatment systems and an ICS consultant/integrator.

 

BNSF Industrial Control System (ICS) leadership includes SCADAs, HMIs, PLCs, instrumentation, backup power, data historian, asset center, servers, cybersecurity, patching and health of Environmental Engineering industrial wastewater & stormwater treatment systems. In addition, this role is responsible for wastewater and stormwater operations for BNSF’s Northern Territory, ICS system upgrades, assessments, designs and contracted system construction.
