Summary of Job Duties:

The Document Conversion Part-Time Professional plays a key role in promoting accessibility and operational efficiency within the Center for Educational Access (CEA). This position involves converting course materials into accessible formats using a variety of software tools, while also supporting the Lab Manager with administrative tasks to ensure compliance with institutional and accessibility standards.

You will use tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, TextHelp Read&Write, EquatIO, and ABBYY FineReader to convert and manage documents. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or MathType is helpful but not required. A background in STEM is preferred, as the role requires applying critical thinking to complex content.

This position emphasizes professionalism, career & self-development, and leadership through regular, reliable attendance and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. You’ll work closely with the Lab Manager to maintain documentation, track project progress, and support compliance efforts, building technology, communication, and teamwork skills in the process.

Additional duties may include test proctoring, front desk support, and answering departmental phones, offering opportunities to demonstrate adaptability and perspective awareness in a student-centered environment.
