Sr. Business Analyst Contracts & Change Orders

Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst, Contracts & Change Orders position is responsible for development and analysis of contract and change order budgets, and contract documents while working closely with the internal proposal key stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

• Development of complex contracts, change orders and associated deliverables.
• Development of complex budgets for contracts and change orders.
• Budget analysis.
• Understand contract terms and ability to identify adjustments to financial terms as needed.
• Development of advance requirements per standards including advance table calculations of all complexities.
• Overall accountability for the contracts and change order process and deliverable, working in collaboration with global operational teams as needed.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, as needed.
• Assist in training and support of lesser experienced team members.
• Perform senior level peer reviews and/or QC review providing guidance and training as necessary.
• Participate in client meetings (as needed).
• Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently with high attention to detail while meeting multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Clinical Research and / or consulting knowledge.
• Proficient in budget and contract preparation.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to quickly shift priorities.
• Ability to work closely with and communicate effectively to all levels across the organization.
• Exhibits self-motivation and is able to work and plan independently as well as in a team environment.

Educational Requirements:

• 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a business, scientific or healthcare discipline.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience.
• Proposal Development experience required.
• Experience creating and submitting budgets.
• Intermediate-to-advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to VLookups, HLookups, analyzing data utilizing Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts.
• Knowledge of industry standards relating to change orders and contracts including budgeting, document language, processes for creation and finalization, etc.
