Your Role:

The Site Head of EHS & Security is responsible for developing and executing the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) strategy, for Millipore Sigma’s manufacturing facility located in Jaffrey, NH. This role ensures alignment with business goals and compliance across operations.

The position leads EHS risk identification and mitigation efforts, utilizes data analytics to monitor trends, and manages emergency response plans for critical incidents. Additionally, they foster a safety-driven culture at all organizational levels, sets performance metrics, and ensures the effective integration of safety protocols and training.

As a member of the site’s senior leadership team, the EHS & Security Site Head collaborates with internal and external peers to execute a culture of EHS excellence. They act as a liaison to corporate EHS and Security network, directing and supporting the work of the EHS professional staff while developing a high performing and sustainable team culture.  They will act as the Site Security Officer responsible for security processes and the security system infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and implement robust environmental, health and safety programs in compliance with legal, regulatory, corporate requirements and industry best practice
  • Drive continual improvement through the Millipore Sigma EHS management system, facilitating risk assessments, setting targets and monitoring performance
  • Foster a strong safety culture across the site, ensuring all incidents are reported, investigated, and corrective actions implemented while facilitating the sharing of best practices and lessons learned
  • Lead and develop the EHS, Occupational Health, and Environment Management teams, including HR related activities such as hiring, performance evaluation, compensation review, and disciplinary actions and oversee/direct the work of contractors and EHS service providers
  • Support business growth by management of permit revisions and new regulatory requirements; assess the impact of new projects/processes on employee health & safety, as well as on sustainability achievements
  • Partner with the occupational health team on incident case management and interface with corporate, HR and legal teams as needed
  • Define, maintain and manage the site emergency response procedures to assure preparedness for crisis situations
  • Champion environmental sustainability initiatives in partnership with operations, facilities and engineering teams
  • Represent the site in Corporate EHS initiatives
  • Act as the site’s designated security officer, responsible for implementing corporate security processes and overseeing security system infrastructure

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline (e.g. engineering, safety, environmental, life science) or the equivalent in EHS&S related work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in EHS & Security, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experienced with ISO 14001, 9001, 45001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems
  • Strong ability to lead and influence with a matrix organization to advance EHS Excellence
  • Proven collaboration and influencing skills across organization, cultures, and functions
  • Demonstrated risk management skills and business continuity planning

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cGMP manufacturing
  • Proven expertise in sustainability initiatives
  • Knowledgeable in US EPA, OS
