Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to on the field coaching, maintaining a recruiting territory, film breakdown, and running your own position group. This position is a 12-month, $20,000 position with no benefits, housing or meals. This Assistant Coach will be involved in all aspects of the SMSU Football program. This position focuses on offensive practice planning, offensive pass game coordination, game preparation, recruitment, and coaching of the TE or OL position. Experience with team organization, scheduling, and prior work with camp coordination. Other duties may include student athlete academic success, fundraising, or other assignments that reflect the expertise of the candidate.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
2 years of coaching experience.
Demonstrated commitment or proven strategies for fostering a diverse and inclusive environment and demonstrated ability or proven strategies to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of OL or TE coaching or playing at the collegiate level.
Experience with and knowledge of NCAA D2 compliance policies and procedures.
Successful collegiate recruiting record.
Knowledge of HUDL recruiting and scouting software & Visio Playbook
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with student-athletes.
Prior teaching or game management experience.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
