As Technology Commercialization Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams to advance the commercial readiness of new solutions and ensure alignment of technology development with electrical construction processes, customer needs, and compliance requirements
- Implements commercialization strategies for new technologies in the electrical and power utility markets, leveraging existing products and services to assess opportunities, secure stakeholder buy-in, and accelerate market adoption
- Builds and manages relationships with technical stakeholders, customers, and business partners. Create compelling business cases that secure internal support and external interest
- Gathers and articulates customer insights and trends to shape commercialization strategies and gain stakeholder support
- Guides technical and business teams on product development requirements and applications
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years of experience in electrical construction, operation and maintenance, in a private, public, government or military environment
- Knowledge of the electrical construction industry and strong technical skills in hardware and software integration, control systems, and data management
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field describe preferred disciplines] from an accredited institution
- Experience with digital transformation in traditional infrastructure industries, excellent communication and project management skills, and ability to lead and manage
Work location:
- Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to [3M Austin Center] at least [3] days per week)
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
