About the role

The HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist 1 is responsible for full cycle recruitment including interviewing, onboarding and offboarding, overseeing the day-to-day administrative tasks for Aegis Protective Services, primarily focusing on the company’s main phone line, the Officer Human Resources Department, and the visitors in the main lobby. This individual will be considered the main point of contact for most, if not all, initial communication into Aegis Protective Services. The primary tasks for the position include, but are not limited to administrative tasks, internal and external communication, and engagement relations. 

Position Requirements 

·         Develop a strong, trusted partnership with APS leaders, acting as a partner in the area of day-to-day operation.

·         Oversee visitor relations, welcoming individuals into the lobby and inquiring about their visit.

·         Oversee the main APS phone line, using the switchboard to route individuals to the correct party as necessary.

·         Assist with the Security Officer final check process, ensuring that any and all uniforms that are still “on loan” are returned, dry cleaned, and are in reusable condition, documenting all data into the Hub.

·         Assist with Security Officer uniform management, including its processes/ procedures, monthly inventory counts, the washing and drying of the branded protective wear, any minor tailoring or adjustments to the branded protective wear, and their eventual folding and organization.

·         Assist with the deliveries process, ensuring that packages from couriers are signed and accounted for, passing along to the correct individual or team as necessary.

·         Assist, when needed, in the completion of non-phone correspondence into Aegis Protective Services, such as email or text messages, ensuring that the turnaround time for a reply is within an appropriate timeframe.

·         Work closely with hiring managers, when needed, with a focus on successfully scouting and sourcing Security Officer personnel, assisting in the development of talent acquisition strategies that entice and capture applicants via common and outside-the-box acquisition methods.

·         Develop a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with APS’ missions and objectives.

·         Ensure all administrative policies and procedures adhere to federal, state, and local law.

 

Position Requirements 

·         An Associate’s Degree is strongly preferred, or, comparable work experience in the security industry.

·         Proven experience in recruiting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

·         Familiarity with HRIS systems like UKG.

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with candidates and internal stakeholders.

·         Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.

·         Experience in multi-faceted recruitment is a plus.

·         Proficiency in social media management for recruitment purposes.

 

Physical Requirements

 

·         Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other candidates.

·         Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.

·         General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.
