Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Improve, adapt, and enhance Epsilon Kubernetes platforms in a true hybrid environment.
• Work with multiple teams to migrate from legacy virtual and baremetal platforms to the Epsilon Kubernetes platform, spanning on-prem and multiple public cloud providers.
• As a Kubernetes Platform Architect, you will be an active contributor to the mission of the group.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experienced in operating applications running on Kubernetes at scale in a production environment
• 5+ years of proven industry experience.
• Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Expertise in scripting and configuring in a Linux environment.
• Experience in deploying, tuning, and debugging applications running on Kubernetes.
• Experience in configuring and deploying monitoring and alerting for applications running on Kubernetes as well as Kubernetes itself.
• Due to the very dynamic nature of the multiple emerging technologies being worked on at Epsilon, you’ll need to have the ability to adapt to changing strategies and priorities
• Understanding of multi-tier architectures and environments.
• Wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Excellent people and leadership skills; excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Motivated with the ability to take charge of assigned projects and guide all aspects of it with minimal supervision.

Bonus, Not Required

• Understanding of cloud-native architecture and design principles.
• Experience with SUSE Rancher or equivalent.
• Experience with services like Ingress or Ingress Controller Network Policies
• Knowledge of technologies like Kubernetes, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Istio, NGINX, Helm, Rancher, Elastic, Prometheus, or Grafana.
