Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our growth efforts by marketing to leads, selling to prospects, and cultivating relationships with existing clients to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. This role is crucial in promoting the MKA brand and achieving our sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market to Leads and Prospects: Identify and engage with potential clients and centers of influence (COIs) to generate new business opportunities.
- Promote the MKA Brand: Represent MKA in a positive, professional manner through community outreach, networking events, and public relations initiatives.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Utilize our technology and resources to build, track, and maintain a robust sales pipeline in the specified region/market.
- Close Business: Develop and implement strategies to propose MKA services to decision-makers and close deals at or above acceptable margins.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with clients, collect declarations of satisfaction, and leverage these relationships for repeat business and referrals.
- Professional Development: Continuously increase professional knowledge, skills, and competence within the role.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional sales experience, preferably in architecture/engineering (A/E), with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience working with K-12 school administrators and/or projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture and leverage relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems.
- Confident, driven, and organized with the ability to manage priorities and exceed goals.
- Ability to quickly learn and embrace MKA’s values that drive performance: offering expert help, maintaining a growth mindset, and investing for returns.
