About The Role:

About Team: 

Strategic Initiatives sits within the Strategy, Insights and Planning team and is responsible for both developing long-term strategic plans and actioning to make those plans a reality. As an advisor for senior leadership, Strategic Initiatives partners cross-functionally to synthesize business insights and propose actionable plans that drive toward our company-wide Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). We use both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify strategic opportunities for Taskrabbit that will delight our clients and our taskers.

 

About Role:

As a Lead in Strategic Initiatives, you will partner with senior leadership to identify and assess strategic opportunities using quantitative and qualitative customer insights, business analytics, industry research, and competitor analysis. You will also partner with Operations, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, and Finance teams to surface new business opportunities and develop cross-functional plans to execute against those opportunities.

What You'll Work On:

  • Identify strategic opportunities and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, averaging 1-3 months in duration
  • Build cohesive plans to accomplish business objectives, identifying specific areas of opportunity through quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Develop a cross-functional customer segmentation in partnership with marketing, product, ops, and data teams
  • Quarterback deep-dive investigations into fluctuations in key business drivers
  • Synthesize business insights in advance of cross-functional weekly and monthly metric meetings and quarterly board meetings
  • Discover patterns, insights, and opportunities to inform future business strategy, while evaluating current business performance
  • Develop cross-functional relationships to champion data-driven decisions 
  • Effectively communicate your findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders

Your Areas of Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, technology operations, strategy, analytics, or a similar field
  • 3-6 years using analytics to drive key business decisions across strategy marketing, operations, product, and finance
  • An exceptional ability to balance creative thinking with strong business judgment and analytical skills 
  • Problem-solving abilities in both data-rich and data-poor environments; ability to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher-level strategy
  • A natural inclination to take initiative and ownership, with the ability to independently navigate ambiguous situatio
