Our Quality Control (QC) department at site Hillerød consists of approximately 260 employees divided into different support teams and three testing teams. About the Department

The QC Bioassay & Virology department currently consists of 35 dedicated employees (analysts, scientists, associates and a leadership team). QC Bioassay & Virology supports the global release of commercial products (DS/DP) for our customers with various potency and ID testing (e.g. cell-based assays, ADCC assays, ELISA assays and dot blot) as well as the support to the biologic Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing by ensuring viral safety on products with in vitro adventitious virus testing, qPCR MMV testing and testing for impurity of in-process samples (IPT) (e.g. residual DNA, Protein A and HCP). Method transfers and method validation and qualification as well as generation of cell banks are becoming a key deliverable for the department with the many new customers due to the site expansion of DS manufacturing together with establishment of a Fill & Finish facility for drug product (DP). And last but not least we perform qualification of controls and reference standards, handle deviations, CAPAs, invalid assays, OOS and Change Controls and much more. All this is part of our daily activities in respect of getting the commercial products out to the patients.

About the Position

When working at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies Denmark you will, besides from the tasks listed below, onboard new customers and products to the site, build a network across QC and FDB, support our site expansion project, and assist in finding new and innovative ways of working smarter in a complex everyday life.  

As Associate Manager in QC Bioassay & Virology, you will provide direct leadership to a team of app. 12 dedicated employees. You will have two Associate Managers as your closest colleagues and together you will provide leadership to the entire QC Bioassay & Virology department and ensure that we work in accordance with our core values - trust, delight our customers, Gemba (go see), and Genki (enthusiasm). The department and our organization will continue to expand and adapting due to the site expansion where we in 2026 expect a 3x DS manufacturing and one new DP manufacturing facility on site Hillerød. The QC Bioassay & Virology department is organized to support focus areas in the QC Bioassay & Virology, where you will be responsible for one of the following three areas: the viral safety testing area, the residual and cell-based potency testing area or the ID and potency testing area.

You will be reporting into the Associate Director of QC Bioassay & Virology and be a member of the QC management team.
