deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the SPA team. This role is responsible for developing SW products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.

Due to the nature of the role, this is not offered as a teleworking or hybrid position. Therefore, the software engineer will work on-site full-time.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years with Bachelor's degree
• Demonstrated experience with Matlab
• Ability to read C++ or ADA language

Special Skills Desired:

• Demonstrated experience with code translations
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
• Experience with the As-Built SPIDER model
• Analysis using Python
• Monte carlo simulations experience
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
