The Sr. Systems Engineer & Administrator will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of Carelon's core IT infrastructure and cloud environments. This hands-on technical role will support system reliability, performance, scalability, and security-enabling clinical and operational teams to function with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with deep technical expertise in hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), enterprise system administration, automation, and healthcare IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Systems Engineering & Administration: Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including servers, virtualization environments, cloud services, backup systems, and storage solutions.
- Cloud Management: Manage and optimize cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure), supporting compute, storage, identity, and security services.
- Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Implement system monitoring tools and proactively manage system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure systems are compliant with HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare regulations. Perform regular patching, vulnerability remediation, and audits.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and manage infrastructure automation using tools like PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Support DR planning and execution, including routine testing and backup/recovery operations.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with clinical applications, analytics, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to support integrated operations and end-user needs.
