Associate - QA Tester

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
We are seeking a junior-level QA Tester to support testing and quality assurance activities across the Claims & Money Movement portfolio in the Service Experience organization. The tester will validate end-to-end workflows, integrations, APIs, and application functionality across platforms such as Pega, custom Java/web applications, and AWS-based services.
This role is ideal for someone early in their QA career who wants to grow into QA automation engineering or Quality Lead roles and gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems supporting claims, payments, and servicing operations.
What You'll Do:
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing across claims and money movement applications.
- Test workflow and rules-based platforms (e.g., Pega or similar BPM/workflow tools).
- Validate APIs, backend services, and system integrations using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Perform smoke and sanity testing after deployments or environment updates.
- Validate UI behavior, backend logic, and compliance with business rules.
Test Documentation & Execution
- Create detailed test cases, scenarios, scripts, and test data for each sprint.
- Align test coverage with acceptance criteria and technical design specifications.
- Maintain traceability between requirements/user stories and test artifacts.
- Execute test cycles across multiple environments (QA, UAT, Pre-Prod).
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
- Participate in daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers, BAs, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to clarify requirements.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and blockers promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams across the Claims & Money Movement portfolio.
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Learn foundational automation concepts and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, or similar).
- Recommend improvements to test processes, coverage, and efficiency.
- Expand understanding of system architecture, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Gain experience in QA best practices, platform testing, and Agile engineering.
What You'll Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.
- Experience testing one or more of the following technology areas:
- Workflow or BPM platforms (Pega)
- Custom Java or web applications
- REST/SOAP APIs or integration layers
- AWS/cloud-hosted services
- Ability to create test cases, execute test plans, and document defects.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Postman, or similar.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Karate, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.).
- Experience using SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps-based testing.
- Understanding of enterprise servicing or claims processing environments.
- QA certifications (ISTQB, etc.) or Agile certifications are a plus.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $64,500-$90,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location
